  1. Chicken 1kg (pieces)
  2. Clarified butter 1 cup
  3. Ginger garlic paste 2tbsp
  4. Salt 2tbsp
  5. Chili powder 2tsp
  6. Wheat flour ¼ cup ( dissolved in water)
  7. Plain flour ¼ cup ( dissolved in water)
  8. Coriander leaves 2tbsp (chopped)
  9. Green chilies 2 ( chopped)
  10. Fried onion 2tbsp
  11. Lemon wedges to serve

For nihari masala:

  1. Aniseeds 1tbsp
  2. White cumin 1tsp
  3. Anise star 1
  4. Allspice 1tsp
  5. Ginger ½ tsp dried
  6. Chili powder 3tbsp

How to Cook Nihari

  1. Grind the nihari masala ingredients together.
  2. Heat the butter and add ginger garlic paste , salt, and chili powder, slightly fry
  3. Add chicken, nihari masala and cook well.
  4. Add 5 cups of water and the mixture of the plain flour and wheat flour, cook until the meat tender and the oil comes on the top.
  5. Lower the stove for 5 minutes
  6. Garish the coriander leaves, green chilies (chopped) ginger dried and lemon wedges.
  7. Serve the dish with nan
