1 Chicken 1 kg, cut into pieces
2 Salt To taste
3 Oil 2-3 tablespoon
4 Yogurt 1 cup
5 Fresh Cream ½ cup, tetra pack available at market
6 Green Chilies 5-7, sliced
7 Coriander Leaves For garnish
8 Garam Masala Powder ½ teaspoon
9 Black Pepper 1 teaspoon
10 Red Chili Powder ¼ teaspoon
11 Cumin Powder (bhuna huwa) ½ teaspoon
12 Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tablespoon
13 Ginger 1 tablespoon, finely sliced
14 Onion ½ cup, finely chopped


Procedure for preparing Chicken White Karahi:

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt with green chililes, black pepper, cumin powder, salt & red chili powder.
  2. Heat oil in a wok and fry chopped onion till it becomes transparent.
  3. Add chicken along with ginger garlic paste and fry on high flame till color changes (bhoon lein).
  4. Now pour the yogurt mixture and let it cook at medium flame till chicken is thoroughly cooked.
  5. Add cream and ginger slices and fry on high flame for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Garnish with garam masala powder and coriander leaves.

Tip: Serve with naan, chapatti or steamed rice.
